About Our Excursions

Our rates include all bait and tackle, except for Fly Fishing equipment. Complimentary drinks are available, such as water, beer, sodas and soft drinks (12). Bring your own lunches; these are usually supplied by most guest properties. We are happy to arrange catering but advanced notice is required.

The ideal party size is 4 - 6 anglers, however, this can be extended to 10 (there will be a $100 charge for each extra person over six). With more than 4 people, all anglers should consent to rod change-over times, or by strikes while fishing. This gives everyone an equal fishing opportunity.

Please Note: A booking deposit of $500, payable in US or Bermuda Dollars, Travelers Cheques, Visa, Master Card or American Express, is required.

Trophy Mounting

We will gladly assist in getting your catch to a taxidermist of marine fish. However, please note that it is possible to release your catch and still have a mount for your enjoyment, based on a skilled estimate of its length and weight, by the crew.

Awards of Merit & Trophies

The Bermuda Department of Tourism has various awards for fish caught in our waters by visitors. At the end of your fishing day, we will register your catch to make you eligible for an award, if it places in a winning category - a nice memento of your Bermuda fishing experience.

Gratuities

It is customary to tip the Mate at the end of the day, but only based on satisfactory service. 15% is customary. The 'catch' usually remains the property of the boat, which helps to offset some expenses not handed on to the charter. If you wish to retain some of the catch, this should be discussed with the Captain or Mate.

Trip Cancellation

Playmate Charters has the right to cancel if the weather conditions will not allow a safe or comfortable fishing trip. All deposits made, in this case, will be returned. Cancellation by the booking party more than 10 days prior to the trip will receive a full refund. Cancellation with less than 10 days notice will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
